BANDERAS BAY

Banderas Bay is the largest natural bay in Mexico. Nuevo Vallarta is located in the middle of the bay's shoreline, so it is close to a variety of things for you to do in all directions.

Puerto Vallarta

The downtown area of Puerto Vallarta is known to locals as El Malecon. This is where you'll find a long strip of street vendors, shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs. El malecon roughly translates into "the boardwalk". You can get here from the hotel by local bus, taxi, or drive (if you've rented a car). Street parking is possible and gets busy on the weekends and at night. There are also indoor/outdoor parking lots/decks

We recommend a walk along the malecon, day or night, to gaze at the beach, sunset and always the unique, outdoor art sculptures. At night there are often street artists, events, or someone creating amazing sand designs by moonlight. And you'll always be able to find some tasty street food. During the day, there are plenty of shops from which to buy local crafts, souvenirs, tequila, or window-shop. Around the Bay

The area around the bay offers a multitude of activities and attractions for all tastes and styles. The adventurous will enjoy diving while those looking for tranquility can visit a turtle reserve or watch the dolphins swim.

During certain times of the year we are visited by hunchback whales, gigantic manta rays and dolphins. You can join a cruise around the bay to enjoy these natural sights. There are simply so many things to do and see all year long it is impossible to list here. If you're interested in anything in particular or are looking for suggestions, be sure to ask at our Reception when you arrive.
